It grips you from the start and doesn't let go with its nonstop action. The story opens near Christmas as 911 dispatcher Brandi Callahan receives an emergency call that appeared to be from her presumed dead sister Sadie. The brief message sends her to their grandparents farm where she discovers a toddler boy in an old pickup. According to the blanket wrapped around him, his name is Levi. Brandi assumes it is her sister's son. When someone starts to come after her, she flees with Levi to the only person she thinks can help--her former fiance Texas Ranger Rhett Kinkaid. Soon they are on the run from multiple people trying to cause her harm, all while searching for Sadie. Complications arise due to the suspected involvement of someone in the sheriff's office.
